Instinct.Distinct.Extinct?

February 25, 2012

Six sense as they say, its our Instinct! A natural or inherent aptitude mediated by reaction below the conscious level. (Merrian Dictionary)  We use are instinct without knowing it, it just simply rely on it, for whatever reason, we are not so sure.  It is the wife’s instinct if he caught his husband having affair with others. She just feel it yet no material evidence.  It is a mothers’ instinct to know  her children is in trouble or in pain without asking questions.  It is also one’s instinct if a person is telling lies or not to you.  Maybe the body language suggested many times, but still it is our instinct that told us so.

The relation of having instinct to the situation or person we encountered is the capability to distinguish. Distinction of one to another is easily determined if we exercise the power of our six sense.

I having a thought that the power to distinguish using our basic instinct is now moving forward to extinction.  What I see in my surrounding, many people is too lazy to use their instinct especially in choosing religious affiliation.  I believe person had great instinct to choose the best at his maturity age unlike children who just followed what their parents told them. Religious world is just another place to be wiser for our soul is at stake.  Let us use our senses.

Sense of Sight.  Bible is present anywhere, except in place it is forbidden. But in our country, mostly we use and read Christian Bible.  And there you are, you had read them all, the do’s and the dont’s of the commandment.  And your eyes went to Exodus  20: 2 – 7, it says:

Exo 20:3  Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Exo 20:4  Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

Exo 20:5  Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

Exo 20:6  And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Exo 20:7  Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Sense of Hearing.  And then came a preacher name Bro. Eli Soriano, reading the same verses in the scriptures, you heard it, since you are not deaf or you have any hearing impairment. You heard him sometimes in television, in the radio, in livestreaming in internet, in Bible Exposition and Bible Study.

Sense of smell.  And because of this brave man, fearing nothing but God, reading the words of God from the Scriptures, you now sensing or smelling fishy on your affiliated organization.  Yes you belong in so great organization but the doctrines are man-made and non-Biblical.

Sense of Touch.  Your heart knows it. It is the truth, you believe in God, you believe in what He said is written in the scriptures, you feel every single word is true.  Your heart feels it aren’t you?

Sense of Taste.  You see the greatness and grandness of your organization.  Made of gold and silvers are they, yes very beautiful in the eyes, the edifice is very  enormous, but the doctrine’s taste is displeasing and awful.

Is this another version of the monkey in the display stand: see not, hear not, speak not.  We have option ladies and gentlemen. We have a tool to use to measure the truthfulness of one’s organization.  Use the tool given to us, use the instinct inside of you. I hope it is not yet too late, your senses is still within you and not totally extinct.#
